OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The homestanding Old Orchard Beach Seagulls scored seven runs in the fourth inning on their way to a 13-3, five-inning win over North Yarmouth Academy on Monday at The Ballpark.

The Seagulls, who would take advantage of six walks and one hit batter, were led by Dylan Creswell with two hits and two RBIs.

Thomas Fregeau added a triple, three runs scored and one RBI, while Sam Custeau produced a double, two runs scored and one RBI and Evan O’Donnell and Jon Gillis chipped in with one hit and one RBI apiece.

Brian Davis picked up the win on the hill for OOB as he went four innings, allowing just two hits and striking out four. Kyle Allen closed out the game for the Seagulls, who improved to 7-4 on the season.

OOB will visit Waynflete on Wednesday.

Softball

Biddeford 18, Cheverus 1 (5 innings)

The host Tigers got a huge game from Brook Davis as they improved to 9-2 on the year.

Davis went 4-for-4 with three home runs and eight RBIs to lead the Tigers, who also got a home run from Jocelyn Moody, who also went 4-for-4 with four RBIs.

Biddeford, which scored 13 runs in the fourth inning, also got three hits from Grace Martin and two hits from both Charlotte White and Katie Stewart.

Stewart got the win in the circle as she went all five innings, allowing just five hits and no earned runs, while striking out five.

Biddeford will visit Portland on Wednesday.

Sanford 11, Bonny Eagle 1

Bonny Eagle jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the top of the first inning, but it would be all Spartans from their as they cruised to the win.

Nicole Main led Sanford with a home run, a double and two RBIs and Molly Boissonneault added three hits and one RBI.

Sanford would get two hits each from Jordan Wilson, Jen Jones, Lauren Thompson and Morgan Coleman.

Jones went the distance in the circle, allowing just four hits and striking out 13.

The Spartans will visit McAuley on Wednesday.

Thornton Academy 18, McAuley 1 (5 innings)

The host Trojans would score eight runs in the second and nine more in the fourth on their way to a blowout win.

Libby Pomerleau led TA with two hits, three runs scored and four RBIs. Olivia Howe would add two hits, two runs and three RBIs and Hannah Collins chipped in with two hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Louissa Colucci would pick up the win in the circle as she allowed just three hits and struck out 11.

Scarborough 19, Noble 0 (5 innings)

Chloe Griffin hit two home runs and Abbie Murrell struck out seven in five innings of work as the Red Storm cruised past Noble.

Griffin hit a pair of two-run homers and had three hits on the day, while Murrell would allow just four singles for the undefeated Red Storm.

Scarborough also got a three-run homer and an RBI single from Tori Hale.

Noble was led by Mackenzie Aleva with two hits and Kayla Lessard and Tyler Chastney added one single each.

Noble will travel to Massabesic on Wednesday.

Kennebunk 3, Greely 2

The Rams would sweep the singles matches as they picked up a win over Greely.

Kennebunk’s Caleb Eickmann beat Blaine Ventra 6-1, 6-3 in first singles, while Dan Behrens beat Tim Kendall 6-2, 6-2 and Mason Burke took down Brandon George 7-6 (1), 7-5.

The Kennebunk team of Nick Dugauquier and Kevin McDonnell would drop their first doubles match 6-4, 6-3 and Greely would win second doubles by default.

Thornton Academy 5, Windham 0

The host Trojans improved to 9-0 on the season with a sweep of Windham on Monday.

TA would get singles wins from Dariy Vyhodtsev, Viktor Schwarz and Jack Xiao.

In first doubles, Jared Waterhouse and Dylan Gooch picked up a win, and Asher Thompson and Adam Lovejoy picked up a win in second doubles.

Portland 5, Biddeford 0

The host Tigers (6-3) dropped all five matches as Portland improved to 8-1 on the season.

Portland’s Peter Gribizis beat Zack Heffernan 6-0, 6-0 in first singles, while Peter Barry took down Alex Millett 6-4, 6-1 and Quinn Clarke picked up a 6-0, 6- 1 win over Mike Reissfelder.

The visiting Bulldogs would sweep the doubles action, winning all four sets 6-3.

Girls Tennis

Biddeford 3, McAuley 2

The visiting Tigers would win both doubles matches on their way to a win over McAuley.

Biddeford (2-8) would get one singles win as Sydney Walton took down Jackie Kucine 7-6 (6), 7-6 (3) in third singles action.

The team of Makayla Dion-Bernier and Gabrielle Smith won their doubles match in three sets, while Julia Pearl and Tirza Cressey won the second doubles bout in two sets.

The visiting Red Storm won all five matches in Monday’s victory over Massabesic

Scarborough’s Megan Nathanson took down Acadia Byther in first singles, while Emily Keenan beat Thyme Whitten and Bryce Nitchman picked up a win over Emily Scavoni.

In first doubles action, Scarborough’s Kaicee Flaherty and Olivia Booth- Howe beat Michelle Radley and Joanna LaFrance. In second doubles, Maureen DeGrinney and Meghan DeGrinney took down Alana Poulin and Katie Dupuis.

Marshwood 4, Sanford 0

The visiting Marshwood squad swept Sanford 4-0 Monday afternoon.

Sanford’s Corinne Lawrence dropped a 6-0, 6-0 singles match while Maddy McFarland fell in three sets, winning the first 6-2 then losing 6-4 and 6-1. Allie Plante lost her singles match 6-0, 6-1.

Marshwood pushed past Sanford’s doubles pairing of Alaina Parison and Hannah Miller in three sets. Parison and Miller lost the first 6-2, won the second 6-4, then dropped the third 6-2.

Thornton Academy 5, Windham 0

Although visiting Thornton Academy swept Windham, there were a handful of tight games in the contest.

It took three sets for Eva Sachs and Andrea Kucharova to win their singles matches. Sachs dropped her first set 6-1, but bounced back to take the final two 6-4 each. Kucharova also fell in her first set 6-4, but rebounded by winning the second 6-3 and the third 6-4.

Grace Pickering won her singles match 6-4, 5-7, while Emma Nassif and Cordelia Perry won their doubles match 6-1, 4- 1. Pilar Salcedo and Claudia de la Hoz Garcia also won their doubles match 6-2, 3-2.

Greely 4, Kennebunk/Well s 1

Host Kennebunk/Wells dropped its match to Greely Monday afternoon.

The Rams’ lone winner was Rosemary Campanella, who won her singles match 8-0. Jenna Kuun lost her singles match 8- 0, while Charlie Bigbee fell 8-1.

Kennebunk/Wells’ doubles pair of Olivia Hiken and Amelia Nelson lost 8-3, while Anna Kate Luddy and Grace Mastrangelo fell 8-1.

Girls Lacrosse

Sanford 10, Winslow 9 (OT )

Sanford erased an early 4-0 deficit to beat Winslow Friday afternoon.

After falling behind 4-0 early in the first half, the Spartans forced a 5-5 tie at the half, then eventually won in overtime.

Sanford’s Maddie Leigh had a game-high eight goals, while Monica Trausch had two, including the game-winner.

Sanford goalie Dominique Gable recorded six saves.

Lake Region 17, Wells 5

The Warriors dropped a tough game to Lake Region Monday afternoon.

Leah Tufts and Brianna Michaud- Nolan each scored twice, while Alyssa Loukola scored once for Wells.
