RICHMOND
Matt Rines singled in all four of his plate appearances, leading the Richmond High School baseball team to a 9- 3 East- West Conference victory over Buckfield on Tuesday.
The Bobcats improved to 5- 4 with their third straight win and hosts Rangeley on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Bucks fell to 5-7.
Rines scored three runs, while Brendan Emmons singled twice and drove in a pair of runs. Tyler Soucy added three singles and two RBIs, with Brady Johnson and Nate Vintinner each producing two singles. Richmond pounded out 15 hits.
Ralph Dunn homered for Buckfield, a rare mistake by Soucy, who struck out four and allowed three hits over five innings of work. Emmons relieved and struck out four in two frames.

The host Falcons picked up a third straight Western Maine Conference win, downing the visiting Rangers (7-4-1).
Colby Wagner launched a solo home run in the second inning for the game’s first run. Wagner later doubled home Jack Davenport for a 2-0 Freeport (7-5) lead, and Davenport made it 3-0 in the fifth, with his single scoring Max Doughty.
The Rangers scored on an RBI single by Matt Pisini.
Josh Burke earned the mound win, with the save going to Josh Spaulding.
Freeport visits Poland today at 4 p.m.
Softball
BATH — Nokomis outscored Morse 3-1 in the first inning, the only scoring in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference matchup on Tuesday.
Austin Leighten’s three- run home run gave the visiting Warriors a 3-0 lead.
The Shipbuilders answered with a run, but Libby Donovan held Morse to five hits with five strikeouts and two hit batters.
Marissa Parks was solid for Morse, striking out nine, walking three and allowing six hits. Parks doubled, while Olivia Potter, Meghan Stover, Sierra Wallace and Ali Gagnon each singled.
Morse fell to 7- 5 and visits Mount View on Friday at 4 p.m.

The host Roadrunners earned a Mountain Valley Conference win over Wiscasset (1-10) on Monday.
The Wolverines, who visit Monmouth today at 4 p. m., received a tworun single from Lindsey Gordon, and August Moore scored on a wild pitch.
Mt. Abram scored eight runs in the third inning to take control. Alora Ross doubled three times and tripled.
Girls lacrosse
FREEPORT — Jenny Bush scored three goals and dished out three assists as Kennebunk rolled to an 18-1 Western Maine Conference win over Freeport, which fell to 3- 5 and hosts Greely on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Madelyn Nelson had 10 saves in net for the Falcons, but Freeport had trouble slowing the 7- 0 Rams, who also received three goals and two assists from Carly Sandler.
Emma Carter scored the lone goal for Freeport.
