The couple made their post WWII lives together in Brunswick, where they raised three wonderful children and several grand children and enriched all their lives with values of love and sharing.
As a young woman, she worked at the Varney Mill in Brunswick in their booking department. She continued her work for many years in account management for her husband and son, Paul, at LeBourdais Service Station in Brunswick.
Eugenie was a Scout den mother for many years, and she enjoyed sharing her craft skills with the children. In the 1970’s , she opened a ceramics studio in Brunswick, and taught classes to many aspiring artists. She was an excellent seamstress and taught sewing and styling to several generations of high school women. She was also a longtime volunteer and member of the Hospital Auxiliary at Mid-Coast Hospital (formerly Regional Memorial).
She was a member of TOPS – KOPS for many years; her unfailing encouragement of others made her a beloved member of the group. As a member of Ladies of St. Anne and the Miraculous Medal, she was tenacious in encouraging others in their commitment. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, George, to Italy, France, Hawaii, and on cruises on the SS Norway cruise lines.
