BIDDEFORD — Meaghan Hamel, daughter of Gary and Debra Hamel of Saco, has been inducted into the Maine Epsilon chapter of Alpha Chi, a national college honor society. To be eligible for Alpha Chi, a student must be in the top 10 percent of his or her junior class.
Hamel was also recently inducted into the University of New England’s Psi Chi Chapter, representing outstanding achievement in psychology, animal behavior and neuroscience.
Hamel, a junior health, wellness and occupational studies major and psychology minor, is also a member of he pre-occupational therapy club and Relay for Life committee.
She plans to continue on to graduate school for occupational therapy.
