BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School “A” softball team fell to Auburn in a wild 21-20 contest on Tuesday.
Greta Anesko had two hits for the Huskies, while Hannah Fortier, Alexis Guptill and Jada Westerfield each had a hit.
Betsy Orlando led the Huskies on the mound, with standout defensive plays coming from third baseman Chloe Coombs and shortstop Guptill.
Brunswick loaded the bases in the final inning with two outs, but Auburn escaped.
Brunswick faces St. John’s today.
