RICHMOND

The Richmond High School softball team picked up a 13-2 East-West Conference victory over Rangeley on Thursday.

Meranda Martin, Sydney Tilton and Kalah Patterson each singled two times in the win, while Camryn Hurley singled, doubled and drove in a run. Patterson had a game-high three RBIs for the Bobcats, 10-0 and scheduled to visit Forest Hills for a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

Martin was solid on the mound, allowing four hits and a walk with four strikeouts.

Sydney Royce tripled for the Lakers, while Maddi Egan, Blakye Morin and Michaela Shorey each singled. Shorey and Morin combined on the mound for four strikeouts, 11 walks and 11 hits.

Boys lacrosse

BRUNSWICK — Brunswick put up 23 goals in a 23-3 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Oxford Hills.

The Dragons improved to 9-1 and visits Messalonskee on May 27 at 4 p.m. Oxford Hills fell to 2-8.

Max Gramins and Connor Foushee had five goals apiece for Brunswick, while Jameson Cyr and Aiden Glover picked up three goals and an assist apiece.

Brunswick goaltender Logan Ouellette turned away six shot.

Kelton Loper paced the Vikings with two goals.

Dylan Jones led visiting Messalonskee to a KVAC win in Topsham.

Jones had four goals, while Austin Pelletier chipped in two scores and four assists for Messalonskee (7-2).

Jason Magno and Steven Schuman had two goals each for 1- 8 Mt. Ararat, which hosts Lewiston on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Girls lacrosse

FREEPORT — Courtney Broderick and Lily Johnston scored three goals apiece, but Freeport dropped a 13- 9 Western Maine Conference decision to Greely.

The Rangers ( 4- 5) received three goals from Kelsey Otley and Courtney Sullivan.

Freeport, 3-6 and slated to host Lake Region on Tuesday at 4 p. m., goaltender Samantha Jordan had 12 saves in the loss.
