Margot A. Weber, 77, of West Bath, ME passed away on May 10 at Mercy Hospital in Portland after a brief illness.

Margot was born in New York City and grew up in Florida, Connecticut and Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Emerson College in Boston where she majored in speech pathology. She retired after a career in which she worked in public schools in Massachusetts and Maine. She finished her career at Spurwink in Portland. In retirement she continued to work with children and home bound older adults through the Catholic Youth Organization.

Margot loved the theater. She was an active participant in regional theater throughout her adult life. In recent years she was a docent at the Victoria Mansion.

Margot leaves behind her companion, Henry Baecker; her children, Jeffrey Grant, Todd Grant, Jonathan Grant, and Kathryn Ellman; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Orloff and Gene Orloff; and her cousins Beatrice Dalsas, Ellie Quigley, and Chet Main.

A memorial service will be held on July 16, 2016 at the Church of the Messiah in Woods Hole, MA. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.brackettfuneralhome.com.
