OXFORD (AP) — Investigators in Oxford say a fire in a senior housing complex that killed a woman and left another in critical condition has been ruled accidental.
State police say fire marshals and electrical inspectors were back in Oxford on Monday. Police say an electrical problem in the common area caused Saturday’s fire.
The fire killed 85-year-old Theresa Heino and left 65- year-old Virginia Brown in critical condition. Police say Brown remains in a local hospital.
About a dozen residents also were treated for smoke inhalation from the fire.
