RICHMOND

Zach Small belted out three hits and drove in four runs to lead the Richmond High School baseball team to a 9-3 Class D South win over Temple Academy on Tuesday.

With their seventh straight win, the Bobcats improved to 9-4 and visits Rangeley on Friday at 4 p.m.

Soucy doubled and singled twice to lead Richmond’s 13- hit attack. Brendan Emmons singled and doubled, while Tyler Soucy and Brady Johnson each singled twice.

Nate Kendrick earned the mound win, going 4 1/3 frames on eight strikeouts, three walks and two hits. Soucy and Small combined for seven punch-outs and three walks.

Carter Lambert and Tristan Richards each singled for Temple (1-12).

The visiting Wolverines earned a Mountain Valley Conference win over Boothbay on Monday.

The top four hitters in Wiscasset’s lineup were a combined 10-for-17 at the plate. Grant Hefler doubled and tripled, Daren Wood was 2-for-3, and Conlan Ranta and Tyler Bailey were each 3-for-5. Jake Traylor added a single in the win.

Ranta went four innings on the mound, allowing two hits and striking out three. Traylor relieved and struck out four on one hit and one walk.

Wiscasset (7-7) hosts Lisbon today at 4 p.m.

RICHMOND — Sydney Tilton fanned 12 and permitted three hits as Richmond rolled to a 12-1 Class D South win over Temple.

Kelsea Anair and Tilton were the hitting leaders for the Bobcats. Anair had two singles, a home run and drove in a pair, while Tilton added a single, triple, home run and an RBI. Meranda Martin, Caitlin Kendrick, Autumn Acord and Camryn Hurley added two hits apiece.

Richmond is 13-0 and visits Rangeley on Friday at 4 p.m.
