BRUNSWICK
Wawenock Sail & Power Squadron and Brunswick Harbormaster say, “Know Before You Go Boating.”
This week is “Boat Week,” and those checking out Wawenock Sail & Power Squadron can get a free vessel safely check this week. A safety check ensures the boat and its equipment comply with federal, state and local safety requirements.
The United States Power Squadrons have certified vessel examiners who will perform a free VSC at a time of mutual convenience.
There is no charge and no consequences if a boat does not pass. The goal is to help make boating as safe as possible for you, your family and your friends, through education.
For more details or to schedule a safety check, contact John McMullen at [email protected].

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
