BRUNSWICK
Francesca-Beth Haines led the Edward Little High School girls lacrosse team to a come-from-behind 11-10 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Brunswick on Thursday in the regular season finale for both teams.
The Dragons, who finished 2-10, led 8-6 at the half, but managed just two goals in the second frame as the Red Eddies (5-7) battled back.
Haines had six goals and dished out a pair of assists, while Megan Steele chipped in a pair of tallies. Haley Frohlich, Brooke Lever and Kaylee Jipson added a goal apiece.
Jenna Brooks had a big game for Brunswick, scoring five times.
The Dragons have clinched a spot in the Class A North playoff and will likely face a quarterfinal at Windham next week.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
