A three-vehicle crash on Route 302 in Windham on Monday morning has left one man dead.

Windham police said Joshua R. Greenwood, 33, of Windham, was traveling westbound in a pickup truck at around 8:30 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the centerline into the eastbound lane and hit a trailer being towed by a dump truck.

The pickup truck then hit the rear of a sedan before coming to a stop on the shoulder of the road. Greenwood was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the drivers of the two other cars were not injured.

The crash, which took place near the entrance to the Seacoast Fun Park, closed down Route 302 between Whites Bridge Road and the Raymond town line for several hours.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
