I would like to thank the voters of Biddeford, Kennebunk and Kennebunkport who turned out on election day or filed absentee ballots for me in the June 14 Democratic primary. I care about our district and our state a great deal.
I want to ensure that: 1) seniors are able to stay at home or have affordable housing and services; 2) every child has a quality education leading to a good job in Maine; 3) struggling families are able to secure the help they need in order to get back on their feet and secure jobs that pay a fair, livable wage; 4) and that our beautiful state and its natural resources are protected as we explore alternate sources of energy.
I want to thank the many people who worked to help me, and wish my opponent, Laurie Dobson, well in the future. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or wish to become involved in guaranteeing a better Maine ([email protected]; 604-0838).
Diane M. Denk
Candidate
House District 9

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
