THE BRUNSWICK SOCCER CLUB had 11 teams compete in the Coastal Summer Challenge over father’s day weekend with the U15 girls coming out with a championship win. Competing against premiere teams, Brunswick won it's first game, 6-1 over Seacoast United Blackbear. Brunswick advanced to the semifinal round with a 1-0 win against Velocity Soccer Club in a penalty-kick shootout. After a 2-2 deadlock in regulation and overtime, the Dragons once again advanced on penalty kicks, beating the Seacoast United Admirals out of Massachusetts, 3-2. That set up a rematch against Velocity for the championship where Brunswick scored early and was able to hold on for a 1-0 victory.
