The Color Run 5K series returns to Bug Light Park and Southern Maine Community College in South Portland on Sunday, June 26. The race, which benefits the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center in Portland, will kick off at 9 a.m. and feature a new island theme this year, “Tropicolor.” As usual, participants will be splattered as they run with a spectrum of colors, and this year “delicious island scents” have been added to the mix as well. After crossing the finish line, Color Runners will take time out to enjoy “Rainbow Beach,” billed as an “interative island featuring music, dancing, unique photo opportunities and massive color throws.” The  South Portland Color Run is online at http://thecolorrun.com/locations/south-portland/

Once Color Runners complete the race itself, festivities ensue that include music and dancing.
