KENNEBUNK — Florence G. Fecteau, 88, of Kennebunk died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at the Atria in Kennebunk.

She was born in Ste. Marie de Beauce, PQ, Canada on July 11, 1927, the daughter of George and Valeda Gosselin Couture and was educated there.

On Sept. 16, 1950, she married Guy Fecteau in Ste. Marie de Beauce, PQ. He died on May 4, 1999.

Mrs. Fecteau came to the local area in 1957, where she worked several years with Arlan Box in Kennebunk and retired from West Point Stevens in Biddeford. She enjoyed cooking, caring for her plants on her sun porch and her cats.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jean Couture, Clement Couture, Laurent Couture, and one sister, Laura Mercier.

Surviving are: one son, Gilles Fecteau and his partner Denise Drouin of Biddeford; one daughter, Lynne Fecteau and her partner Theodore DiRenzo of Scarborough; three brothers, Adrien Couture and his wife, Doris, of Biddeford, Armand Couture and his wife, Therese, of Springvale, and Conrad Couture of Ste. Marie de Beauce, PQ; four sisters, Aline Mercier of Ste. Marie de Beauce, PQ, Aurore Morin of Biddeford, Lucille Landry and her husband, Robert of Moody, of Connecticut, and Huguette Paquette and her husband, Urbain, of Biddeford; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Private internment services will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
