ERROL, N.H. (AP) — Dive teams will resume their search this morning for a missing canoer in Errol.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department says 36-year-old Justin Smith, of Colebrook, went canoeing with another man Wednesday afternoon in the Androscoggin River when their boat tipped over.
Officials say the men weren’t wearing life jackets and struggled to stay above. When they reached an area of rapids, officials say Smith went under water and never resurfaced. The other man was able to make it safely to shore.
