Patti Schopmeyer, a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, and frequent visitor to Bustin Island, Yarmouth and Freeport through the 1990s and 2000s, died quietly on June 18, 2016, after a long battle with several medical infirmities.

She was born Jan. 1, 1950. Patti found her repeated visits to the area immensely enjoyable, and was very fond of her many friends there. She treasured the relationships she developed during her visits to Maine.

Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her two brothers, Thomas and Timothy; nephews Steven and David; her aunt Betty and a host of cousins. They would like to thank all the residents who befriended Pat during her trips to Maine for their kindness and friendship.
