CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A plea agreement for a man accused of giving a 17-year-old girl a powerful painkiller that caused her death at a New Hampshire motel calls for a 20-year prison sentence.

Mark Ross is charged in the death of Evangelique “Eve” Tarmey. She died in a Rochester motel of acute fentanyl intoxication in October.

The 42-year-old Ross initially pleaded not guilty in federal court. A document filed Monday says he’s agreed to plead guilty on July 18 to distributing a controlled substance to a person under age 21, with death resulting.

Co-defendant Leslie Aberle, who also pleaded not guilty, is scheduled to change her plea on July 18.
