PORTLAND
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (42-51) rallied for two runs in the eighth inning and upended the Portland Sea Dogs (34-59), 5-4 in the series finale in front of a sellout crowd on Sunday afternoon at Hadlock Field.
Trailing 4-3 in the eighth, Christian Lopes singled off Austin Maddox with one and stole second base. Jason Leblebijian drove him in with an RBI single and advanced to second on an error, then Rowdy Tellez singled to score Leblebijian and put the Cats ahead for good.
The loss erased a quality start for Teddy Stankiewicz, his team leading 10th. Stankiewicz went six innings and allowed three runs on five hits while walking one and striking out five.
Fisher Cats starter Shane Dawson allowed four runs on six hits in six innings. He walked three and struck out four.
