SANDY CORMIER of the band Blistered Fingers lends her voice to the group Back to Basics at the Bluegrass Festival at White’s Beach on Saturday. Cormier said she stepped in to sing a couple of songs in memory of some special friends they’ve known for a long time. Cormier said it’s common in this tight-knit community of musicians for people from various groups to play together or step in when regular band members are missing. “(It’s a) very big community — lovable, respectful, you can’t find any better than these guys,” Cormier said of her fellow musicians. The event featured six bands on Friday and Saturday.
