Overnight paving on Interstate 295 through Brunswick, Freeport, Yarmouth, Cumberland and Falmouth began Monday, July 18.
Work on both sides of the highway will stretch 21.5 miles, from the Portland/Falmouth line to the Androscoggin River Bridge in Brunswick, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.
Southbound work is being performed from 9 p.m. Sundays to 6 a.m. Mondays, and 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Northbound work takes place Sunday through Friday from 8 p.m.-6 a.m., and from 9 p.m. Fridays to 6 a.m. Saturdays.
All ramps will remain open during the $3.3 million project, which is being done by All States Material Group of Sunderland, Mass.
