BIDDEFORD — Normand Gerard St. Ours (Stormin’ Norman), 58, passed peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

He was born in Biddeford on Dec. 24, 1957, the son of Ernest and Alice Morin St. Ours.

Normand attended Biddeford schools and graduated from Biddeford High School in 1978. He was a member of the BHS band as a drummer.

He served in the U.S. Navy and upon discharge worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a painter/ welder, retiring in 2012 due to health issues.

Normand loved to play his guitar, broomball, cribbage, horseshoes and go to the beach. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, and was a fan of all New England sports teams. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with family and playing his guitar for them.

Normand was preceded in death by his father, Ernest St. Ours, in 1984 and his mother, Alice St. Ours, in 1992.

He is survived by: his wife, Valerie (Goodine) St. Ours; four sons, Normand Jr., Samuel, Joshua Andrew and Nicholas Ernest St. Ours; three step-children, Christopher, Melissa and Maryanne Mellin; two grandsons, Benjamin and Kellan St. Ours; a granddaughter, Jasmine Rose, and another granddaughter due in September; a brother, Richard St. Ours and his wife Sharon; seven sisters, Priscille Hatch and Jerry Sirois, Madeleine Adams and her husband Richard, Doris Poirier, Paulette Cote and her husband Richard, Pauline Poirier and her husband Ronald, twin sister Anita Lizotte and her husband Douglas, and Diana Alden and her husband Mark; many nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and greatnephews.

Visiting hours were held 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave., Portland. A memorial service followed at 11 a.m. To share memories and condolences with the family, please go to athutchins.com.
