The second annual Cheers to a Cure, a beer and wine tasting to raise money for the American Cancer Society, has been canceled, according to organizer Emily Wainwright.
“It is with an extremely heavy heart that I am announcing the cancellation of Cheers to a Cure due to unforeseen circumstances,” Wainwright wrote on the event’s Facebook page Sunday, July 18. She said she would reach out those who had donated money and goods to the cause individually, and offered gratitude for the “support, excitement, and kindness.”
The event was scheduled for Saturday, July 30, at the Commons Avenue plaza in Windham.
