SANFORD — SIS Bank is once again giving New Englanders yet another reason to cheer for the Boston Red Sox this baseball season. With the success of last year’s first “SIS Home Runs for Good” initiative, the Bank has brought back the campaign for 2016; and SIS is happy to announce they have already donated $550 to the YCSA Food Pantry through the promotion.

SIS Home Runs for Good gives $50 to a local non-profit organization for every home run hit by a Red Sox player at Fenway Park throughout the regular season. Each month, a different area charity is aided.

The YSCA Food Pantry was April’s recipient, benefiting from the 11 long balls cranked out by the Sox in their 14 home games throughout the month. The nonprofit – a division of the York Community Service Association – aids local residents who are in need of assistance, services and referrals during a difficult time in their lives with the support of staff, volunteers and the community. SIS’s $550 donation will go toward feeding the approximately 75 families the organization serves each week.

“SIS is proud to make this donation to the YCSA Food Pantry,” said SIS Bank President & CEO Mark T. Mickeriz. “We’re happy to be able to contribute to supporting those in need in our community, and look forward to doing so throughout the rest of baseball season.”
