Bath police say they have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed two neighbors Monday night.

Bath police and EMS responded to 27 Spring St. at 10:25 p.m. According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed that Brandon Plummer, 34, and a 39- year-old male had been involved in an argument that turned physical.

“At that time, Plummer began to stab the victim several times,” said Bath Police Chief Mike Field in a press release. “The other, 19- year-old victim went to help and was stabbed in the hand. Plummer stopped and ran back into his residence. Plummer and the victims are neighbors.”

Bath Police went to Plummer’s residence and detained him without incident. He was then arrested and transported to Bath Police Department. The knife used in the incident has been recovered as evidence. According to Lt. Robert Savary, it was a fold-up pocket knife.

Police charged Plummer with elevated aggravated assault, a Class A crime punishable by up to 30 years incarceration and a $50,000 fine. He was transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail and is being held on $2,500 dollars cash bail.

The investigation is still ongoing, Field said. Bath police were also assisted by a member of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Office.
