Four old friends got together to shoot hoops in the heat of the day last week at the court outside Durham Community School. Ron Perry of Durham, right, takes a shot from the corner while Michael Mitchell of Durham kicks up the ball with his foot, and Scott Frost of Auburn awaits a possible rebound. Also with the group was Frost’s son, Dallas Frost of Auburn.
Mary Lehmer, a children’s librarian at Freeport Community Library, said it was so nice out last Thursday, she decided to take her lunch break outside.
Kids or anyone else looking to make an honest buck can find work weeding a garden at 26 Runaround Pond Road in Durham.
