The LRSC boys had 1,551.50 points, with Kingfish in second with 881. Combined, LRSC racked up 3,256 points.
On the 10-and-under boys, Keegan Rowe was second, while Aidan Saunders claimed fifth.
In the 11-12 girls, Vanessa Albert was fifth.
Olivia Harper was third, Margie McLeod sixth and Haily Harper seventh in the 13-14 girls, while 13-14 boys honors went to Evan Willertz in seventh and Robby Hyde in eighth.
The Senior girls and boys had an individual champion each. In the girls, Lynsie Russell was first, Caitlin Tycz second, Ann Tolan fifth and Talia Jorgensen seventh, while Nate Samson was first among the boys, Ben Willertz second and Camden Fitzgerald sixth.
LRSC set team records. The 13-14 girls 400 medley relay squad of McLeod, Haily Harper, Olivia Harper and Cara Viele broke the old mark with a 5:06.15. The same four swimmers swam the 400 free relay in 4:30.90.
In the 13-14 boys, the 400 medley relay squad of Evan Willertz, Nicco Bartone, Hyde and Sam Wright broke the previous mark by nearly 10 seconds in 4:55.28, while the 400 free relay of Bartone, Evan Willertz, Daniel Whitman and Hyde cruised in a time of 4:16.43.
The Senior girls 200 free relay team of Tolan, Emma Blair, Sonia Lin and Tycz broke the previous mark in 1:54.33, and the 400 medley relay team of Russell, Lin, Tycz and Tolan set the mark in 4:36.70.
Individually, Tycz set a team mark in the 200 butterfly (2:20.68), with Russell’s time of 5:22.41 in the 400 individual medley establishing a new mark.
“Another amazing effort by the Long Reach swimmers,” said LRSC swim coach Jay Morissette. “We really shift our training effort to summer mode, but continue to put up impressive results. Our outgoing senior team at the meet of Nate Samson, Bradford Tibbetts, Sonia Lin, Lynsie Russell, Emma Blair and Lexi Stevenson will be greatly missed.”
YMCA Nationals
Morissette will send six swimmers to the YMCA National Long Course Championships in Indianapolis.
Beginning today and running until Sunday, Tycz, Tolan, Olivia and Haily Harper, McLeod and Sophia Marie Kruse will be in action.
Tycz, the defending champion in the 50 butterfly, will be busy, competing in four individual events, along with relays. Tolan will also be in four individual events, and the LRSC will swim a full relay schedule.
