ALFRED — As of Thursday morning, Maine State Police are still looking for information in connection with a hit and run incident in which an unoccupied car was struck by an SUV, which pushed it into a river.
The incident took place on Swetts Road just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Trooper Benjamin Smith, the owner of the car said a large black SUV similar to a Surburban struck his car and left the scene.
Authorities believe there is damage to the front end of the SUV.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 657-3030 and ask for Trooper Smith of Troop A.
