BRUNSWICK — Mid Coast Hospital’s Center for Weight & Lifestyle Change has been renamed Healthy Weight for a Lifetime to better reflect the program’s content and assist with setting realistic expectations for class participants, the hospital announced.
The Healthy Weight for a Lifetime program focuses on creating a long- term solution for weight loss by addressing the emotional, physical and nutritional issues contributing to obesity. This 12-week program is set apart due to the multidisciplinary approach that includes nutrition counseling, behavioral health and exercise coaching.
Members of the community are invited to learn firsthand about the Healthy Weight for a Lifetime program at a free information session on Thursday, Aug. 4 from 5-6 p.m. at Mid Coast Hospital’s Medical Office Building, 121 Medical Center Drive, Suite 2200 in Brunswick. The information session offers a complete program overview and open discussion with program staff to determine whether the program is a good fit.
The next 12- week program begins Sept. 15. For more information, call (207) 406- 7446 or visit midcoasthealth.com/ weightloss.
