BIDDEFORD — Recently, Community Partners Inc. had a visit from an inspiring young man, Dylan Bellemare.

CPI, a 501(c)3 non-profit, has been providing direct support services to adults with developmental disabilities since 1967. For his birthday each year, Bellemare holds a fundraiser for a local charity. This year, for his 10th birthday, Bellemare chose Community Partners as the recipient of his work. Bellemare raised $500, an exceptional one-day amount, and his mother, Ciel Caldwell, gave another $500 as a matching gift. Their donation will support CPI’s Special Olympics team.

“It is easy to forget how much acts of kindness in our own neighborhoods matter. Not only has Dylan given a great gift to Community Partners, but he has shown that there is still light in this world when we need it most,” said CPI via email. “We want to express a sincere thank you to Dylan and his family for all that they have done for everyone in the CPI family. This is a young man with a bright future ahead of him.”
