FREEPORT — “Know the 10 Signs of Alzheimer’s” — an interactive workshop led by Mark Pechenik of the Maine chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association — will take place at the Freeport Community Library on Aug. 10 beginning at 6 p.m.
Topics covered will include:
• How to tell the difference between Alzheimer’s and typical aging
• Steps to take if you recognize a warning sign in yourself or someone you know
• The process to receiving an Alzheimer’s diagnosis
• Why early detection is crucial
The workshop is free and open to the public.
