STANDISH — A 46- year-old Buxton man died Monday afternoon when his pick-up truck left Route 25 (Ossipee Trail) and slammed into a tree.
Steven LaCourse was pronounced dead at the scene, said Capt. Scott Stewart of the Cumberland County Sheriff ’s Office.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the area of 950 Ossipee Trail. LaCourse’s 2014 Nissan Titan pick-up truck was traveling south when he veered off the right side of the road. A news release from the sheriff ’s office said the vehicle continued on, crossing a lawn and slamming into a tree.
LaCourse was alone in the truck.
Deputies say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors. The crash was reconstructed, and the investigation continues.
