FREEPORT — A Pownal man was summonsed after crashing his car on Burnett Road early Saturday morning.
The crash was reported at 1:19 a.m. According to Freeport Lt. Nathaniel Goodman, Benjamin W. Schmidt of Pownal was driving a 2009 Honda Civic too fast for the road conditions and totaled the car.
Schmidt was not seriously injured and was the sole occupant in the vehicle. He was charged with driving to endanger.
