Cape Elizabeth High School is seeking professionals willing to serve as mentors this school year to students doing independent study projects under the student-driven learning program.
The school is particularly looking for those working in filmmaking, engineering and design, digital game design, playwriting, screenwriting, sustainability, immigrant services, aeronautics and more.
Last academic year, 10 high school students worked on independent projects ranging from filmmaking to helicopter design and from neuroscience to e-commerce.
Anyone interested in serving as a mentor should contact John Holdridge at [email protected].
Also, the Cape Elizabeth School District has announced that starting Sept. 6 – the first day of school – there will be no vehicular access to the either the middle or Pond Cove schools through Jordan Way.
