From the Journal Tribune: “Recycling is a widely endorsed alternative to trash disposal, but city officials hope to block a plan by Casella Waste Systems for a regional recycling center here. Casella is the parent company of Maine Energy Recovery Co., and Mayor Mark Johnston said his concerns arise from Saco’s long-standing objections to the operation of the Maine Energy incinerator in Biddeford.”
