FREEPORT
Police are investigating an armed robbery at Intervale Mercantile at 4 School St. on Friday morning.
The robbery was reported at 8:40 a.m. Friday morning. In a statement from Freeport Police Chief Susan Nourse, an unknown male reportedly fled the store with the owner’s wallet along with several thousands of dollars in merchandise which was placed in a leather satchel in the store.
As of Saturday afternoon, there have been no further developments in the investigation.
