We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from June during her 78 years, among them: open your heart to people and be accepting of each other. June was a social butterfly who enjoyed activities that made others happy— whether it was baking for residents at River Landing in Topsham where she resided, making placemats for the monthly dinners at People Plus in Brunswick, or hosting bible study meetings with parishioners of her church, Berean Baptist.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren and one great grandchild whose photos she would share with friends (both old and new whenever she had a chance): Son Bernard (wife Dawn, grandchildren Haley, Ryan, Scarlett, Tyelor, Emmilee, Elliviah); daughter Karen ( husband Charles and grandson Nick); her oldest son Rick and grandson Adam. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren Myla, Charlotte, Lucas and Sonia.
June is reunited with her husband and love of her life, Donald J. Wilson, and is predeceased by siblings George, Ruthanne, Beth and Dan as well as mother Ruth Dorothy Rand and father George Fenton.
Friends (and strangers she would love to have met) can visit with June’s family for services at Berean Baptist church on Thursday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made to the Berean Baptist Church, 15 Cumberland St., Brunswick, ME 04011 or to Coastal Animal Shelter in Brunswick ( https://www.coastalhumanesociety.org/make-a-donation/) in her name.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
