BRUNSWICK — Matthew Kenneth Lajoie, age 30, of Theodore Drive died Wednesday, September 7th at Mid Coast Hospital.

He was born in Bath on June 21, 1986 the son of Kenneth and Vickie Edgett Lajoie. Matthew attended Brunswick schools and was a 2004 graduate of Brunswick High School. Matt took several courses at Southern Maine Community College.

Matt had worked at several local area businesses until becoming ill. Matt enjoyed basketball and had served as a referee for both basket ball and soccer. Matthew enjoyed spending quality time with his immediate family especially his nephews Dominique and Kaiden as well as visiting his family up north. Matt also loved camping.

Surviving besides his parents of Brunswick is a maternal grandfather William Edgett of Bath. A brother Ryan and two sisters Marcia and Kendra Lajoie all of Brunswick. Two nephews Dominque and Kaiden and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Matthew was a member of All Saints Parish and was as an altar server along with his siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 14 at 10 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church- All Saints Parish 132 McKeen St. Brunswick with a reception immediately to follow in the parish hall.

The family wishes to thank Tufts Medical Center, Maine Medical Center, Mid Coast Hospital and CHANS for all the care and consideration shown to Matthew and his family as well as everyone else for their care and support.
