The search for a white supremacist wanted on a probation violation charge earlier this week also turned up something else, police say: a meth lab. On Thursday, officers with the Old Orchard Beach Police Department and the Maine Department of Corrections arrested fugitive Jacob Hastings, 27, of Augusta, near 42 Milliken St. Hastings, a member of the white supremacist group Aryan Nations, was wanted for skipping probation on a Class A robbery conviction, and has a history of violent crimes. The MDEA reported Friday afternoon that a meth lab was discovered inside a vehicle on the property, according to Maine Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland. The MDEA meth lab team, along with Old Orchard Beach police and fire departments and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, were on the scene Friday afternoon, McCausland said. Also found at the Milliken Street property on Thursday was a 35-year-old transient, Justin Ireland, who had four warrants out for his arrest. He was also taken into custody.
