TOPSHAM — Lawrence (Larry) Hauck, age 72 of Middlesex Road died September 6th at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick.

He was born in Jacksonville, FL on February 24, 1944 to Dorothy Williams Hauck and was raised by his mother & stepfather Donald Mowray.

After attending Jacksonville schools, he joined the Navy in 1963 and was given orders to be stationed at BNAS, where he met and married Diane Pelletier on June 24, 1967. After serving the next 4 years in Jacksonville, he was honorably discharged May 1971, he then moved his family back to Maine. In October 1971 he joined BIW, as a welder, where he worked for 39 years, retiring in May of 2010.

Larry was member of The American Legion in Topsham for 37 years, enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, riding his 4-wheeler, NASCAR and watching his favorite football team, the New England Patriots.

He is predeceased by his mother Dorothy Mowrey and his son Bradley Hauck (May 26, 2016).

He is survived by his wife Diane of 49 years; daughters Heather Gladue and her husband Matt of Topsham; Lynette Cuebas and her husband Juan of Allentown, PA; a very close nephew Renaud Pelletier and his wife Paula of Manchester, NH; his parents Donald and Marguerite Mowrey, a brother Donald Mowrey and sister Linda Moore, all of Jacksonville, FL; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.

A military service will be held at the VA Cemetery in Augusta on Friday, September 16th at 12 noon.
