SACO — On Tuesday, police asked for the public’s help in locating a suspect who allegedly stole money from Cumberland Farms at 535 Main St.
Today, they continue to follow up leads in their search for the suspect who is described as being a white man between 5 feet, 9 inches and 5 feet, 11 inches tall, of thin build and short brown hair, and wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and black sneakers.
The theft took place at around 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Police Dep. Chief Corey Huntress is asking anyone who may recognize the suspect, or was in the area of business at the time of the theft who may have seen the suspect or his vehicle, to contact the Saco Police Department at 282- 8216.
The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the store register when the clerk was cashing him out, according to police. He then got into a waiting vehicle and fled. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Old Orchard Beach on Ocean Park Road.
