The Freeport Fall Festival, now in its 18th year, attracts thousands of people to Freeport for a day of art, music and fun. This year the festival will be held Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 120 artists will exhibit works ranging from photography, oil, watercolor, mixed media, fine craft and jewelry set to the tunes of live musical performances throughout the day. There will be a selection of Maine food producers at the festival and Freeport Community Services will be on site hosting their annual Chowdah Challenge to raise funds for camp scholarships.
Hosted on the L.L.Bean campus and Freeport Village Station courtyard in Freeport, the two-day event is free and includes children’s art activities and live music for the whole family. Plan to spend the day in Freeport, visit the artists, listen to music and visit hundreds of stores, outlets and boutiques located within a couple of blocks from the Festival.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
