LEBANON — A 28-year old Springvale woman faces a Class B felony charge of receiving a stolen firearm.
Maine State Police allege Kayla Keith passed a firearm stolen from a Lebanon burglary that took place Aug. 23 to Todd Cushman, 28, to pawn. Keith had allegedly been banned from area pawnshops; police allege she is banned because of a previous history of pawning stolen items.
Cushman, police say, pawned the stolen pistol – a 9-millimeter Smith & Wesson – at York County Trading Co. in Sanford. He was arrested on a felony warrant charging that he received a stolen firearm on Aug. 24, and is free on $310 bail.
Keith was located by Trooper Adam Schmidt Sept. 29 off Mill Street in Springvale, where she was taken into custody without incident.
