BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School “A” field hockey team picked up its first win on Wednesday, downing Lewiston, 2-1.
Betsy Orlando gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal four minutes into the game.
Lewiston tied the game, but Lily Webster scored the game-winning goal off a pass from Lauren Jacobs 17 minutes into the second half.
Strong link play was provided by Brunswick’s Kelsey Sullivan, Jacobs, Gia Guernelli and Webster.
Hanna Westworth had three saves in the win, with strong defense coming from Emily Factor, Natalie Ney, Madeleine Hladky, Maddie Small and Daphne Dumont.
