BATH — The Bath Middle School seventh grade Baxter House will be hosting its third annual Community Harvest Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 5-6:30 p.m. The dinner is free to all community members and will include pasta with homemade tomato sauce, roasted vegetables, salad, bread and dessert. The school will be accepting donations for the Bath Area Food Bank. A raffle will be held with all money raised going to the food bank.
Food and raffle donations are from the LOCAL Garden, Bath Area Food Bank, Swango Farm, Merrymeeting Gleaners, as well as a number of local businesses. Last year, more than $400 was collected, and the hope is to raise $500 this year.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
