SACO — The Thornton Academy football team cruised to a big 63-14 win over visiting South Portland on Saturday, extending its perfect record to 7-0.

A handful of Trojans shined on the afternoon. C.J. LaBreck and Anthony Bracamonte would each rush for touchdowns in the first quarter, followed by quarterback Mike Laverriere, who would rush for a 31-yard score in the second.

Laverriere would also connect with wideout Johnny Rosario for two touchdowns in the final minutes of the half.

The Trojans would continue to pile on points in the second half, beginning with LaBreck’s second touchdown run, followed by a 60-yard punt return touchdown by Bracamonte. Will Mitchell would later get in the mix by scoring a 10-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter, followed by another rushing touchdown by Grant Dow to secure the win.

The Trojans will take on undefeated Bonny Eagle on the road next Friday night.

Visiting Lisbon powered to a 36-0 shutout win over OOB Saturday afternoon, putting an end to the Seagulls’ two-game winning streak.

OOB falls to 3-3 on the year and continues to battle for a playoff spot in the Class D South.

The Warriors would drop a tight battle to Gray Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, each team would battle hard throughout the second half.

Gray’s Bryce Hayman would score off a penalty kick late in regulation to secure the win.

Scarborough 4, Massabesic 2

Despite falling to Scarborough Saturday, Massabesic’s Skylar Renaud impressed, scoring each of the Mustangs’ goals.
