Hello, Scarborough. My name is Alyssa Marchant. I am 21 years old and a small business owner. I am writing to share my experience with one of your candidates for Town Council, Kathleen Foley. I knew her as “Miss Foley,” one of the most dedicated teachers I ever had. She made it fun to work hard and learn, always going the extra mile for her students. She made the connection for us between school, business and civic responsibility. She challenged us to step out of our comfort zones, to become leaders in our community and to go out into the world and become the best versions of ourselves. I know she did that for me. I am here to say that this is someone you can trust to do the right thing, even when no one is watching. That is something she taught and modeled for us every day.
