SACO — The Thornton Academy girls soccer team continued to stay hot with a big 4-0 win over rival Biddeford, Tuesday.

The Trojans were led by Hannah Niles, who put TA up 2-0 in the first half with a pair of goals.

Hannah McAlary would later tally a goal in the second half, followed by another goal from Mia Taranko. Sarah Couture, Liz Bell, Natalia Profenno and Alyanna Beaudoin all collected assists on the day.

TA goalies Abbi Cook and Dana Sirois combined for three saves, while Biddeford’s Jillian Lewis recorded 14.

The Trojans improve to 8-6 on the year while Biddeford falls to 0-14.

Bonny Eagle 4, Massabesic 1

Bonny Eagle would get goals from Kaley Rumery, Emily Byrne, Nell Spencer and Sarah Champagne to secure the win.

Massabesic’s Skylar Renaud scored the Mustangs’ lone goal in the loss.

Kennebunk 2, Waynflete 0

The Rams would pick up the 2-0 shutout win over Waynflete. The Rams hope that Tuesday’s win will be enough to push them into playoff contention.

Wells 3, Traip 3

The Warriors and Rangers played to a stalemate Tuesday, tying at 3-3.

Natalie Thurber, Hannah Cottis and Sarah Webb scored goals for Wells in the tie.

Field Hockey

Kennebunk 2, Poland 0

The Rams won their Class B South preliminary playoff round against visiting Poland on Tuesday.

Britney Gregoire would score each of the Rams’ two goals, one coming in each half, to propel Kennebunk to the win.

Boys Soccer

Kennebunk 3, Waynflete 2

The Rams pulled off a miraculous comeback win over Waynflete Tuesday.

Down 2-0 with just eight minutes to play, the Rams offense would explode for three- straight goals to secure the win.

Bonny Eagle 5, Massabesic 0

The Mustangs dropped a 5-0 shutout decision over Bonny Eagle, Tuesday. Despite the loss, goalie Joshua Castonguay had a solid outing in net, making 10 stops on the evening.

Traip 2, Wells 1 (OT)

The Warriors fought a tough battle against visiting Traip, however fell in overtime to the Rangers.

Thornton Academy 1, Biddeford 0

The Trojans would win the season-finale against Biddeford in a rainy 1-0 shutout.

Biddeford 3, Yarmouth 2

The Tigers completed their impressive regular season with an 11-2 record. Biddeford topped Yarmouth in five sets in the season finale, Tuesday.
