Bowdoin dominated the opening minutes of play, but was unable to best Ryley van der Velde and change the scoreboard. The senior goalie made five sprawling saves before the Polar Bears found the net nearly 20 minutes into play. Strong carries, tackles and rucking from captain Cristina Lima, Soghikian, Wilson and Pimentel provided consistent quick ball for the halfbacks to distribute. Scrumhalf Dankens and fly-half Liz D’Angelo directed the attack with a mixture of forward runs, and a smart kicking strategy and passing plays for the backfield.
